OnePlus has already rolled out three software updates to its recently launched OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones but it seems that another one may be on its way soon as more and more users are complaining about issues of overheating with the more powerful model — OnePlus 9 Pro.
According to a report by Android Central, OnePlus is aware of the issue.
“A company spokesperson tells us that it’s a known issue and that future update(s) expected to land over the next few weeks will address it…” said the report.
Coming to the issue, several users have been complaining about issues of overheating especially while taking photos or recording video on social media as well as on the OnePlus forum.
Users are also sharing pictures of OnePlus’s camera app making showing a warning message, “The temperature of your device is currently too high, please pause shooting for a while to bring it down,” or “Unable to take pictures as the phone’s temperature is too high.”
As mentioned above, the company is soon expected to roll out a fix for the issue in the coming weeks.
The last software update — OxygenOS 126.96.36.199 — was rolled out only a couple of days back that was meant to improve battery life, system stability, camera performance along network connectivity functions.
Soon after OnePlus had released the new phones, the company had rolled out the first update to boost connectivity, camera, system performance and fix bugs. The second update — OxygenOS 188.8.131.52 —introduced a range of performance enhancements along with the Android security update for the month of March 2021.
